- A valid AAA Membership card (non-Members pay a $20 convenience fee)
- Your valid driver’s license, government-issued ID, or MVD ID card;
- Your Montana MVD paperwork;
- Your payment for MVD services (AAA accepts major credit cards with Visa®, Mastercard®, Discover®, and American Express®; we do not accept cash or checks.)
What do I need to transfer an out-of-state license or apply for a state identification card?
To transfer an out-of-state license or apply for a state ID, you’ll need:
- A valid AAA Membership card (non-Members pay a $20 convenience fee)
- A valid driver’s license, government-issued ID, or MVD ID card
- Your MVD paperwork
- Your payment for MVD services (AAA accepts all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.)
What do I need to apply, renew, or replace my REAL ID at AAA?
Along with your MVD application, you need to bring:
- Proof of your identify, such as a certified copy of your U.S. birth certificate, a U.S. passport, a permanent resident card, or a foreign passport with valid U.S. visa and approved I-94 form.
- Proof of your social security number, such as your social security card, or a W-2 form or paycheck stub that includes your social security number.
- Two documents that contain your home address, such as your rental agreement, mortgage, or utility bill. The forms must list your first and last name and match the residential address your provide on your application
- A valid AAA Membership card (non-Members pay a $20 convenience fee)
