President's Letter: Creating Value for Our Members
We’re looking out for you on the road in more ways than you’d think.
I’ve said it before, and it warrants repeating: We take pride in delivering outstanding service with every interaction we have with our Members. We also truly appreciate the confidence you place in us and our ability to continue to provide greater value with our Membership plans, products, and services.
It starts with giving you full access to the nation’s most recommended roadside assistance for your vehicles—should you need a tow, a battery recharge or replacement, a flat tire fixed, a door unlocked, or even some fuel to help get you to a nearby gas station. The real gem here is that you can take advantage of these services either as the driver of the vehicle in need or as a passenger in the same.
Yet it does not end there, for our focus on improving road safety—for drivers, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists—extends into the work we do within your communities and nationwide. As you may have recently read in Via, the United States is grappling with a rapid rise in traffic fatalities over the last two years. As a follow-up to that story, in this issue of Via we’re examining what cities are doing to help lower speed limits, implement lane reductions and traffic-calming measures, as well as add and/or improve infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.
This issue is also filled with great summer adventures to Dubois, Wyoming, and Fairbanks, Alaska, plus a special feature that is sure to make a splash with readers: our Watery Guide to National Parks. In between those articles, we offer smart money advice regarding ways to protect yourself when buying or renting a home, as well as how to spend less on auto repairs.
I could go on and on about this issue, but best to let you dive in for yourself. So, until next time, enjoy this edition of Via, and please remember that our valued services are here to help you live life more confidently, knowing you have AAA by your side.
Take care of yourself and each other, and continue to have a safe and enjoyable summer.
