Las Vegas is a city of superlatives. But over-the-top casino architecture and larger-than-life entertainment are perfectly counterbalanced by an array of exceptionally luxurious spas. After a few days of Vegas-style living, these palaces of pampering are just what the doctor ordered.

Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa, & Casino

Located about 20 minutes southeast of the Strip, the Green Valley Ranch Spa has just about everything you’d want from an upscale Las Vegas hotel spa. GVR, as it’s known by the locals, has 22 treatment rooms and an adults-only lap pool with views of the Strip. The spa menu has numerous massage and skin therapies, but be sure to try a Lancer Glow facial—a signature treatment developed by Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Harold Lancer offered at only a select few Las Vegas spas.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Venetian

Created in 1979 in Tucson, Arizona, Canyon Ranch is world-renowned for spoiling guests with luxury spa treatments. Their Las Vegas outpost—in The Palazzo, adjoining The Venetian—is the biggest spa facility in the city. All treatments at Canyon Ranch SpaClub are focused on Aquavana—what Canyon Ranch has coined for their water-focused experience. From an herbal sauna to a rain-shower room and an igloo, there are water therapies to treat whatever ails you. A restaurant onsite also serves Canyon Ranch’s signature healthy gourmet meals.

Qua Baths & Spa at Caesar’s Palace

You’d expect the spa at Caesar’s Palace to have a Roman bath—and it does—but Qua Baths & Spa doesn’t limit itself to an ancient theme. In addition to the three Roman baths and the heated Laconium Room, Qua also features a Tea Room (complete with a tea sommelier) and a chilly Arctic Ice Room where “snow” falls on heated floors and benches. The spa menu includes Thai and Lomi Lomi massage, Ayurvedic therapies, chakra balancing, and a variety of Nobu-branded treatments. But spring for the signature Mojave Rain massage, which uses American Indian traditions to detoxify the body and balance energy.

Sahra Spa & Hammam at the Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan’s Sahra Spa & Hammam evokes the desert right from the exotic entrance—lined with sandstone tiles—which delivers you into an oasis with a monsoon cave (an enormous whirlpool tub), a steam room and a cold mist room, and the ethereal Space Between (a relaxation lounge). The centerpiece, however, is the hammam and its heated stone slab. The slab is large enough for two people to lounge comfortably, but it’s the ideal place for Sahra’s extravagant Moroccan Journey—a 130-minute ritual which includes the use of exfoliating and detoxifying scrubs and masques, time in the steam room and soaking tub, and a full-body Sahra Signature Massage.

The Spa at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas

For old-world opulence, it’s hard to beat the Spa at Encore. The spacious retreat is dramatic and grand, designed to make guests feel like they are visiting royalty. Given the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award in its first year of operation, Encore offers a wide selection of unique treatments. Its Good Luck Ritual signature treatment includes a massage, hand and foot therapies, and a scalp treatment, all of which utilize the healing properties of the five Chinese elements—fire, metal, wood, earth, and water.

Saffron Day Spa

When you want to satisfy your spa cravings without feeling like you’re paying the mortgage, look no further than Saffron Day Spa. Located less than five miles from the Strip, Saffron has all the indulgent amenities you’d expect from high-end hotel spas at a fraction of the cost. The spa menu includes two skin treatments using chocolate, the Inch Loss detoxifying body wrap, and the Saffron Signature Hot Stones Massage—a 60-minute session promoting muscle relaxation and increased joint flexibility for less than $75.
